LIPC Rally at Senator Flanagan's Office

Over 1000 people including parents, LIPC and NYSUT members, administrators and school board members demonstrated outside the offices of Senator John Flanagan on November 1. 2013. The rally was organized by the NYSUT Suffolk PAC team and included representatives from at least 40 locals. The message to elected officials was clear and can be summed as follows "Our members are angry and frustrated They expect their legislators to take action that will help roll back the excessive testing and listen to the classroom teachers before trying to make sweeping changes in the public schools."
