Fun, Sun & Golf:
Huntington Township Chamber Members Enjoy Sold Out Golf Outing
Don Hendler, CEO, Leviton Manufacturing and Richard Dormer, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Honored
It was a spectacular day at The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce 26th Annual Golf Outing as over 200 people joined together for a day of golf and festivities. This year’s “sold out” golf event honored Long Island leaders Don Hendler, CEO, Leviton Manufacturing and Richard Dormer, Suffolk County Police Commissioner. “We had the privilege to honor and acknowledge the accomplishments and expertise of two of Long Island’s preeminent leaders. Each of these individuals, with their different backgrounds, exemplifies the professional qualities that not only support our Huntington community but resonate throughout Long Island and our entire region,” explained Robert Bontempi, Huntington Chamber Chairman.
Participants experienced plenty of fun and sun as Chamber Members took a swing on the fairway with 18 holes of golf. A driving range was available prior to tee-off so golfers could perfect their stroke and snack station were provided on the course and food at the halfway house to ensure the hungry competitors were well nourished. Over 200 guests ended the evening with an exciting cocktail and buffet dinner and a chance to win numerous prizes and awards. The event took place at Indian Hills Country Club, which offers enough variety of terrain to challenge the most experienced golfer.
In addition to acknowledging the Golf Outing two honorees, County Executive Steve Levy honored the Huntington Chamber for the vital role it plays within the Long Island community.
Sponsors included Leviton, H2M Group, Farrell Fritz, BlueCross Blue Shield, Patterson Bellknap Webb & Tyler, Buck Consultants, AvalonBay Communities, North Shore Financial Group, Community National Bank, Viewpoint Photography and Kushnick and Associates.
