1,400 Global Leaders Attend FIABCI World Congress In Bali
Over 1,400 delegates from 40 countries attended the 2010 FIABCI World Congress in Bali making this one of the most highly attended and successful Congress’ in FIABCI’s history. The Congress theme “Save the World: Green Shoots for Sustainable Real Estate,” featured an exciting program filled with an abundance of cutting edge and timely information, and offered numerous opportunities for business development and networking focused on Green Technologies and Environmental Sustainability.
Several world renowned experts and entrepreneurs as well as internationally recognized business leaders from the global real estate and development industries shared new ideas for green real estate development in different regions. Among prestigious speakers were John Rabie, Chairman of Rabie Property Group in South Africa; Tom Wright, Design Director of Atkins headquartered in Epsom, London and World Renown Indonesian Entrepreneur Ciputra, who shared their knowledge and expertise with the attendees. Honored guests included the Governor of Bali and Bali’s Minister of Tourism. The World Congress focused on the importance of saving our global environment and included such topics as “The Eco-Property, Continuous Real Estate,” “Green Tourism, Nature’s Limits and Opportunities” and “Innovations in Real Estate.”
Highlights of the program also included the installation of new World President, Enrico Capagnoli from Milan, Italy and the election of a new World President-Elect Alexander Romaneko from Russia. FIABCI officially added new Chapters in Ghana and Egypt. A New Principal Member, “The Arab Union for Real Estate Development,” was approved to become part of FIABCI’s International Federation. Winners from the prestigious FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards were honored at an exclusive black-tie dinner. This year’s awards program received the most submissions for consideration in FIABCI’s history. More than 10 category awards from 11 countries were presented to the most prestigious developments in the world. Participants of the Congress also had the opportunity to market their properties in International Marketing Sessions; obtain education through FIABCI University Courses and learn more about Balinese culture and see important real estate, landscape and development projects through the Bali Study Tours.
